Fossile freedom – a vision transformed into a unique hands-on experience. 

Background

Breaking society’s dependence on fossil fuels is one of the most ambitious shifts of our time, and Vattenfall have been blazing the trail for years. But for this vision to keep taking hold, it needed to feel real, important, and above all – possible.

Challenge

The numbers were clear – optimism for a fossil free future grows when people feel included. But with the climate issue being both complex and vast, how would we turn such an abstract concept into something people can engage with? 

Solution

Enter Freedome – an interactive VR dome that turns visitors into visionaries. Powered by AI and co-created with agencies Make Your Mark and Forman & Bodenfors, it transforms a series of prompts provided by the participant into a unique digital world, and made the future of fossil freedom tangible and explorable.

Results

Freedome shifted the conversation from policy discussions to personal experiences, encouraging people to envision and, ultimately, partake in a fossil free world.
59% of those who recalled the campaign believe in a fossil-free future, a 21% increase compared to the ones who did not participate.
